Accra Mayor Pays Courtesy Visit to Mohinani Group

The Mayor of Accra, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, has paid a courtesy visit to the Mohinani Group as part of efforts to familiarize himself with the Group’s operations and deepen engagement with businesses operating within the Accra Metropolitan area.

The Mayor was accompanied by a delegation of public officials, including the Member of Parliament for the Okaikoi South Constituency, Hon. Ernest Adomako, whose constituency hosts the Mohinani Group’s head office in Ghana.

The delegation was received by the Country Director of Mohinani Group, Nii Ayi Hyde, together with some senior management. The engagement provided an opportunity for the company to share insights into its diverse portfolio of businesses and its contribution to Ghana’s economic development.

Mr. Hyde highlighted the Group’s commitment to strengthening local economic participation through partnerships with local suppliers, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to the development of communities within which it operates.

The visit also provided an avenue for discussions on strengthening collaboration between the private sector and local government. The Mayor expressed his commitment to supporting businesses within the metropolis and encouraged continued engagement between the Accra Metropolitan Assembly and the Mohinani Group.

The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between government and the private sector in promoting sustainable economic growth, job creation and community development in Accra and beyond.
