Feb/24/2018

Accra: March 15, 2018-: Polytanks (Gh) Ltd, the lead producers of plastic storage tanks in partnership with the Safe Water Network Ghana, a non-governmental organization, has deliberated with stakeholders on improving the activities of Small Water Enterprises. The Polytanks Ghana and Safe Water Network’s relationship has also helped to supply, over a hundred communities with potable water, complimenting government’s efforts at meeting the United Nations sustainable development goal on water. Polytanks Ghana provided an undisclosed amount toward the stakeholder engagement.

This year’s Beyond the Pipe” forum held under the theme “Taking Small Water Enterprises to Scale” brought together stakeholders in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector, to build consensus on practical ways of improving the sustainability of Small Water Enterprises (SWEs) in the country.

Small water Enterprises, are community-based outlets which provide clean, safe and potable water to deprived communities around the country. The 2018 forum is the second time Polytanks Ghana a subsidiary of the Mohinani Group is collaborating with the NGO to organize such forum.

Polytanks and the Save Water Network have nurtured their fruitful business relationship to aid the work of the NGO for almost a decade. Executive Director of the Mohinani Group, Mr. Ashok Mohinani, was hopeful for an expanded collaboration that will assist more communities with clean water.

“One of the key objectives of the Mohinani Group CSR policy, is to partner public and private institutions in scaling up the provision of sustainable and safe water supply to all Ghanaians around the clock”, Mr. Mohinani stated -adding that, “Polytanks will continue to supply quality and durable water storage tanks to Safe Water Network and other government agencies, as part of facilitating the provision of clean, affordable and reliable water supply to communities”, he noted.

Mr. Ashok Mohinani, pledged the Group’s continued support to Safe Water Network in carrying out its mandate of building sustainable SWEs in order to provide rural and peri-urban communities in Ghana with portable and affordable access to water. Mr. Mohinani was also hopeful that the findings from the forum will help address the challenges faced by SWEs.

Polytanks Ghana Features Popular Actor, Akorobeto in a New Brand Campaign

Popular Ghanaian comedian and actor Akwasi Boadi, also known as Akorobeto, was earlier this year recruited for Polytanks Ghana’s 2024 major campaign for the tanks division.

The campaign, titled “Polytank Nie Papano Nie,” which translates to “This is Polytank This is the Original,” is aimed at entrenching Polytank’s position as the leading water storage manufacturer in Ghana and to distinguish it from competitor brands that are sometimes mistaken for Polytank.

In a 30-second TVC that is already airing on TV and online, the actor is seen mediating and settling a scuffle between a market woman and a plumber by emphasizing the brand identity of Polytank and subsequently endorsing the brand in his usual amusing character.

Akorobeto’s association with the Polytank brand is expected to help drive easy brand recall for Polytank and to also make the brand relevant to all generations.
