LG Launches Air-Conditioning Academy

SOMOTEX GHANA Limited, a subsidiary of the Mohinani Group of Companies, has partnered LG electronics to open a commercial air-conditioning academy to provide customers with after-sales services in Accra.

The new academy, located at Allston House at Somotex Ghana limited (North Industrial Area), has various innovative business solution products ranging from commercial air-conditioners, split air-conditioners, as well as parts of air-conditioners.

The company, formerly known as Poly Group of Companies and the sole distributor of LG electronics and home appliances in Ghana, will also offer customers the latest offerings on the functionalities of the air conditioners and its other products with the opening of its new academy.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Nii Ayi Hyde, Managing Director-Somotex Ghana Ltd, said the academy combines elegance, technological advancement and convenience in the products and services being offered.

“It promises to provide in Ghana unlimited possibilities offering unique customer experience through the exquisite world of LG products that will continually be available in the Academy,” he said.

He stated that it was important for the company and LG to align its brand values with the aspiration of the people.

Mr. Hyde said more outlets would come on stream as Somotex Ghana limited and LG evolve more innovative ways of making its products available.

“The academy would train experts on the functionality of array of products on display, as well as keep them abreast of global technological innovations,” George Bijo, Chief Operations Officer, Somotex added.

Dignitaries were taken round the Academy by Vijay Bakshi, AC Academy Manager, West Africa and Fuseini Kumbo, Projects Manager (Somotex).
