About Us

Born in the Hyderabad city of the Sindh Province erstwhile a famous city of undivided India, Ram Mohinani had just completed his primary education when the Nation was divided into India and Pakistan. With his quest to explore and financial pressures at home, Ram took up an opportunity to work with his uncle in Ghana, West Africa. Ram emigrated from his home in Coimbatore, India to Ghana at the tender age of 17. Following a successful number of years as a key manager in his uncle's business, he set up his own business, to manufacture plastic film, in Ghana.  

The success of his flagship, Poly Products (Ghana) Limited, in manufacturing film packaging encouraged him to expand rapidly into other segments including woven sacks, flexible and rigid packaging, storage tanks, corrugated boxes and pipes, and subsequently in other neighbouring countries. With his penchant for trade still vibrant, Ram went on to establish international trading operations in Asia – in Hong Kong and Taiwan along with partners. 

These units traded very actively with Africa, primarily in consumer durables and general goods. With the manufacturing base and international trade activities as a platform, Ram went on to extend the activities along the supply chain by establishing consumer durable, plastics and chemicals trading and distribution businesses across various countries. 

As founding patriach and Chairman, he continues to pay a strong interest in all the business units and frequently travels to various different operations across the world.
